Candy recipes are usually saved for the holidays, but I've found that candy is a great seller at bake sales (everyone else makes brownies, cookies and bars) and rummage sales. You can put your kids in charge of selling and these recipes are easy enough for them to help in the kitchen. Wow, comfort food teaching responsibility and the value of money. How can you go wrong?
My daughter loves selling home baked goods at our rummage sale every year. It is a big hit for the guys whose wives drag them around to carry stuff--this way they get to buy something too!
